In the beginning, in 1987, I started using computers to create simulations of sculptures. This is because we always start to do something beginning from what we know. In six months I discovered that I had in hand a tool that allowed me to create language, visual language: language written through scripts. It was a quantum leap in my life.
From then on, the growth was exponential until arriving in a merged production of virtual and material pieces, the latter inter-mediated by computational processes, at the present moment of this year of 2018.
No inicio, em 1987, comecei a usar o computador para criar simulações de esculturas. Isso porque sempre começamos a partir daquilo que conhecemos. Em seis meses descobri que tinha em mãos uma ferramenta que me permitia criar linguagem: linguagem visual escrita através de scripts. Foi um salto quântico na minha vida.
A partir dai o crescimento foi exponencial até chegar, no momento presente deste ano de 2018, a uma produção mesclada virtual e material, esta última intermediada por processos computacionais.
