Hekuras, Karuanas & Kurupiras (unprecedented | inédito):
a journey from Amazon towards Sun | uma jornada da Amazônia ao Sol

In this time of changes emerge — in the field of contemporary art, architecture and design – paradigms based on processes, incompleteness, indeterminations, instabilities, impermanent fluctuations... They characterize an extended field of a Dionysian reality, full with complex sensations and poetic assemblages aiming to seduce those who are not frightened by their complexity. In this context was born the still unpublished a metaphorical journey: Hekuras, Karuanas and Kurupiras, which launches a poetic look on the Amazonian vastness. A look interspersed with the mythological, philosophical and scientific foundations of that region; a look that approaches the knowledge system of the great forest, its metabolism, its consciousness: a knowledge so old, that it become new because it is still unknown.
The journey begins with the performer-shamaness (pagé) calling the forest spirits to her breasts with her chant. She enters in ecstasy and the spirits conduct her to mythical realms from the forest’s memories: the pink dolphins realm; the fractal forest mirrored at the black water of the Caxiuanã river; the water realm where Karuanas (the water energies) dwell; the micro organisms realm; the giant rays realm; the serapilheira realm – the terrestrial microcosm; the realm of the entwined roots licked by the rivers’ waters; the mist realm – a dense aquatic atmosphere. Finally the performer-shamaness dives trough a worm hole going from Earth towards the Sun realm where happens explosions of plasma, massive ejections of protons creating storms which captured by Earth’s magnetosphere are photo-synthesized by the forest.
Neste nosso tempo de mudanças emergem - no campo da arte contemporânea, arquitetura e design – paradigmas baseados em processos, em incompletudes, em indeterminações, em instabilidades, em flutuações impermanentes... Eles caracterizam um campo ampliado de uma realidade dionisíaca, prenhe de sensações complexas e de agenciamentos poéticos a seduzir aqueles que não se assustam com sua complexidade. Nesse contexto nasceu a jornada metáforica ainda inédita: Hekuras, Karuanas e Kurupiras, a lançar um olhar poético sobre a vastidão Amazônica. Um olhar entremeado com os fundamentos mitológicos, filosóficos e científicos daquela região; um olhar que se aproxima do sistema de conhecimento da grande floresta, de seu metabolismo, de sua consciência: um conhecimento tão antigo, tão novo por ser desconhecido.
A jornada começa com a intérprete-xamã (pagé) chamando os espíritos da floresta para seus seios com o seu canto. Ela entra em êxtase e os espíritos conduzem-na aos reinos míticos das memórias da floresta: o reino dos botos cor-de-rosa (boto tucuxi); a floresta fractal espelhada na água negra do rio Caxiuanã; o reino da água onde habitam os Karuanas (espíritos da água); o reino dos micro organismos; o reino das arraias gigantes; o reino da serapilheira: o microcosmo terrestre; o reino das raízes entrelaçadas lambidas pelas águas dos rios; o reino da névoa formando uma densa atmosfera aquática. Finalmente, o intérprete-xamã mergulha através de um buraco de minhoca indo da Terra para o Sol, onde ocorrem explosões de plasma, com jatos maciços de prótons criando tempestades a serem capturadas pela magnetosfera terrestre para serem foto-sintetizadas pela floresta.
