The materials:
I try to unveil the latent forms, existing in materials. I investigate their limits, their colors, their lightness and hardness as well as
their immanent properties and characteristics.
The tools' marks:
I try to create textures while letting the energy of the gesture emerge, determining contrasts and oppositions
Oppositions and contrasts:
I look for organic shapes exploring the three-dimensional space, bringing light and shadow to the piece. In doing so, I contrast hardness and strength of one material with the gracefulness and resilience of another; natural and artificial; gloss and matte.
Contemporary technology:
I research and use contemporary technologies, machines and tools to create unique pieces, kinetic and wearable sculptures. I let the machines do what they do better than me. Thus, I can delight in the full use of my creativity and inventiveness. For me, the emergence of machines is an inexorable fact of evolution.
The body:
I see the adaptability of the pieces to the body responding to their movements and finding easy adjustments and modes
of dressing and undressing...
Os materiais:
Busco desvelar as formas latentes, existentes em potência nos materiais. Investigo seus limites, suas cores, sua leveza e dureza assim como suas propriedades e características imanentes.
As marcas da ferramenta:
Procuro criar texturas deixando emergir a energia do gesto e valorizando contrastes e oposições.
Oposições e contrastes:
Crio organicidade em oposição à forma geométrica explorando o espaço tridimensional,
trazendo luz e sombra para a peça. Ao fazê-lo contraponho a dureza e resistência de um material com a maleabilidade e a
resiliência de outro, o natural com o artificial, o brilho e o fosco.
A tecnologia contemporânea:
Pesquiso e uso as tecnologias, máquinas e ferramentas contemporâneas para criar peças únicas, esculturas cinéticas e vestíveis. Deixo as máquinas fazerem o que fazem melhor. Assim, posso me deleitar a usar minha criatividade e inventividade plenamente. Para mim, a emergencia das máquinas é um fato inexorável da evolução.
Valorização do corpo:
Viso a adaptabilidade das peças ao corpo respondendo aos seus movimentos e encontrando engastes e modos de fáceis
de as vestir e desvestir.
